Bred for sweetness and rich flavour, Honey Boat has coppery tan skin with green stripes and deep orange flesh. The fruit can reach 23cm (9") long and maintain their excellent eating quality well into winter storage.
The plants have a vining habit. Fruit have thin, edible skin and average 0.5-1kg (1-2lb). Delicata squash require little to no curing post-harvest, and store for about 3 months when properly stored. The breeding on this variety dates back to Dr. Bagget at Oregon State University and has been refined for several generations.
